The Changes Continue

You know how I always talk about how quickly time passes?  My mind is yet again boggled by the fact that one week ago the store looked like the above photo.  The wall had just come down thanks to my good friends, Steve and Drew (Christy, the owner of Dekoko's, dad and husband).  Check them out in action....

They insisted on getting a photo of me holding my paint roller.  Painting was MY job!  Don't I look proud?

.....AND now here we are just ONE week later!

There are still some finishing touches like the beautiful awning and my signage but the bulk of the construction is now complete.  Oh yeah...maybe I better paint that trim too!

Here is a peak at the NEW and EVER changing Paper Pickle!  I hope you approve.

Smash books no longer have to be stacked on top of each other on a little shelf!  Everything will be a little more accessible!

Still have some great sales bins and beautiful projects through the store for you to get inspired by!  Did you notice those fabulous swaddle blankets by Basic Grey?  Have a look next time you are in!

Here is a look from the back of the store looking towards Dekoko's espresso counter.  Did you know that is is NOW only 10 steps to THE best latte in town.....can life get any better?!?

Look how nicely the 12x12 paper racks fill the NEW wall.....it is like it was all meant to be.  AND yes, those are Distress Paints you see on the white display ladder.

And the counter has gotten larger!  This area needs a little work but you can see we will now have lots of room for demos and make and takes!  Yes....they will be happening again!

What?  There is room on the counter for more than the debit machine?  Ha!

Great new baker's twine from Maya Road (100 yards for $7.50....best price I have ever seen from any company!) and fun little wooden spools and rulers!

More photos....isn't it wonderful?

And finally, the ribbon jars are now located INSIDE the store....what a concept!

So what do you think?  I am over the moon about my NEW space!  Can you tell?

Hope to see you soon!

Kim

PS...Store is still open three days per week (Wednesday 10-5, Thursday 10-4 and Saturday 9:30-3).  These hours are going to be under review now that our space has expanded.  I would love to know your thoughts....I am considering being open Tuesday-Saturday but maybe 10-3 each day.  Could this work this your schedules?  Let's figure this out together!

Zonta Card Making Extravaganza - April 20

Just wanted to pass on some information...

Once again The Paper Pickle will be involved in this fun event!  Tickets are available and can be purchased at Rubies or NOW online.  Make sure you register before April 5th to take advantage of the Early Bird discount!

If you have never attended this event before, let me tell you a little about it.  There will be 8 stations where you will be making various projects.  You will spend 30 minutes at each station learning various card making techniques.  This is the perfect event for beginners to advanced level crafters.  At the end of the day, you will walk away with 8 projects.  Most vendors also set up booths and shopping is available!  The lunch is consistently good (from Maple City Bakery) and a tax receipt is given for a portion of your fee....what more could you ask for?  It is the perfect day for YOU!  And we all know YOU deserve it!

There are only two events like this per year (spring and fall) and they often sell out.  Make sure you act quickly if you are interested in attending.

Hope to see you there!
Kim

PS...The store is open today (Wednesday) until 5pm and Thursday from 10-4pm.  Lots of new product arriving daily, as we are gearing up for the newly expanded store within Dekoko's.  The paint is on the exterior and interior walls!  Stop in and check it out!  The only thing left is to tear down the wall!  Can't wait!

Sweet Thing...the moon is high & the night is young

You ever love something so much you just can't stand it? Like it sometimes is just too much for your mind to comprehend? Well, that is me at this very moment. I know what you are all thinking...here she goes, talking about all the new and beautiful product that is in The Pickle right now. Or how I LOVE this time of the year SO much! Well, this is all true but I have an even bigger love this evening.

It's Keith Urban on American Idol

Who's with me on this one?  I just spent two hours glued to the tv just waiting for them to zoom in on him during a performance.  This man can seriously do no wrong in my eyes.  Not only is he beautiful, he is articulate.  He is funny.  He is witty.  He has an Australian accent.  He is beautiful....wait.  Did I say that already?

Time to Focus
Funny.  I told myself I HAD to get to bed earlier tonight.  And now, thanks to Keith, I am blogging after 11pm!  Darn accent...

So hey.  All you paper crafting fans out there, you may want to pop into the store tomorrow or Saturday.  I BIG shipment of Spellbinders and Memory Box dies have arrived.  Many of the just released items are here!  Do you see your favourites in our photos?  Thanks to Debbie's hard work, these items are unpacked and just waiting to find a good home.

Many Other New Items
The number of new 6x6 pads, 12x12 collection packs and new embellishments we have in store right now is just insane.  Recognize some of these names:  Mammarazzi, Yes Please, Party Day, MME Collectibles, Kneehigh, Bow Ties, etc.  There is only one store in Chatham where you will find all these dill-icious new lines....

See you soon....K

I've Got this Warm Fuzzy Feelin'...

You can always tell the photos that I take of product at home.  They always have this warm and fuzzy aura.  I believe it has something to do with when the energy of new product is added to the energy of my home.  Something is created that is almost intoxicating and almost beyond happy.  Actually, it just came to me....I think this is the look of love!  Ok.  Look at the picture above and tell me you can't see it.  See!  You do see it!  That is love!  Ha.  Do you feel that way when you get your Pickle "stash" home or am I the only one?

New.  New.  New.
Well I better get on with the show here or we could be here all night/day depending on when you are reading this!  So as you can tell, I am just a little excited about all the new product that has been pouring into the store over the past two weeks.  Last week the BIG deal was the new Smash Books and Memory Box Dies.

This week we have one more new Smash Book design called Couture.  It has a silver metallic spine that would attract any fashionista.  Check her out...

They have even added foil designs to this album!

6x6 = 36 F.U.N!

Cardmakers love them because of their reduced designs!  Scrapbookers love them because they are only $6 and you can get full collections of paper.  I love them because they are so easy to use.  You know each and every paper works together.  And sometimes one new little pad gives you that jump start that your creative self needs from time to time!  Um.  This is not all.  There are like a million new pads in the store!  Ha!  Well, almost....

Just in Case you like to Super Size it....
I have also brought many of these Collections in as 12x12 Collection packs as well.  These come with full lines of paper in 12x12 size and usually have fun stickers or die cuts.  Have a look at the fun boy and girl lines by My Mind's Eye.

Spellbinder
They have done it again.  Spellbinders have just come out with the most fabulous release.  Have a look at all the new ones we have in stock now!  And just so you know, the other three sides are FULL of amazing dies!

Sorry for the picture quality....I think I was shaking when I took the photo 'cuz I was so excited!  Actually, no...I think I captured it again.  Yup.  There it is....LOVE!

Kim

PS...Stop in and see me Saturday 9:30am-3pm and see if you can find a little love or even come in and be nosy.  Our renovations are coming along SO nicely!  The drywall is going up.  It won't be long now!
