Week 4...FREE Tag Make & Take

With only 5 days until Christmas, we decided to keep life simple and repeat our tag from Week 1. Besides, not many of you knew about the free make & takes that we were running as a part of Downtown's A Dickens of a Christmas. This will be the final week for the Saturday event which will run between 10am and 3pm. We will, however, begin our Happy Hours in the new year. Check back to get the scoop.

So if you have time and would like to venture out, please join us for a fun little tag! Thank you to all who participated.

Week 3: FREE Make & Take THIS Saturday!

Hello Everyone!
Well, here we are at week 3 of 4 for our Christmas tags. If you haven't been in yet, why not stop in and take 5 minutes for yourself this Saturday (between 10AM & 3PM) and enjoy this adorable tag. We will be embossing Inkadinkado's Season's Greetings stamp on some Basic Grey paper, working with Hero Arts self-adhesive pearls and a little ribbon (of course). It is just too fun!
Yeah for me! I got this post up a whole 8.5 hours early this week! I am a new woman now that Coulter is sleeping through the night!!

Free Make & Takes THIS Saturday

Have you ever had a day go NOT according to plan....well it has been one of those days for me. Sorry I am just getting this in at approximately 11:55 PM Friday. I guess I should look at it as doing better than last week when I posted Saturdays tag on Saturday. I am in the thick of the terrible twos and it has been a little rough. On the bright side, my son (who is almost 4 months) is now ALMOST sleeping through the night! Much better than having to wake up to feed every 2 or 3 hours! Now if only I could get them on the same schedule....

Here is the little tag we are making for this Saturdays A Dickens of a Christmas. The project is FREE so come out and have a little fun with us. We will be working with some fun decorative paper, flowers, ribbon and some fun Making Memory letter stickers that we just got in. I cannot believe how many stickers you get for just under three bucks.

There will be two more tags before Christmas. You will notice that these projects are quite simple. We are gearing these for the first time
paper crafter and children. We are hoping to start up our Happy Hours again in the new year. These make and takes will be a little more involved.....more details about this will follow.

Sweet Dreams...

A Crop-a-what?!?!?!

I know when I start talking about scrapbooking and stamping products, my hubby has to grab for his handy decoder book that I made for him to know what the heck it is that I am talking about. I actually have a matching one that I use when he starts talking about his fantasy football league! I'm sure many of you have this same problem! This is why we have decide to have our Christmas Wish Lists available again this year. Come in.....write down exactly what you need/want and leave it with us. When your family comes in we will work with them (and their budget) to make sure their shopping experience is as easy as possible. We also have gift cards available if they would prefer to go that route.
This is so hilarious, but when I was looking for a photo of a crop-a-dile to upload for the blog, I came across a posting on YouTube on how to use a crop-a-dile. They really DO have everything on that site. I have attached it for your amusement or information. Check it out! I wonder if this girl is getting a commission from We R for this!!!

Free Make & Takes THIS Saturday

I just wanted to show you the adorable tag we will be making today at the store. We kept the project VERY simple as we did not know what to expect for our first session. For those of you that do not know, we are participating in Downtown Chatham's Dickens of a Christmas. Various businesses will be having little events in their stores for the four Saturdays before Christmas. The dates include
  • November 29
  • December 6
  • December 13
  • December 20
We will be featuring a different tag each Saturday.

This
project incorporates Stampingbellas new Christmas stamps (note...students may also choose a sweet snowman or a rocking reindeer....also from Bella). A new Bella shipment arrived yesterday so we just HAD to use some of these adorable designs! We also used Stickles, Nestabillities, a Tombow and very cute crystal brads from Making Memories (also new to the store this week). We know that many of you are beyond this level of stamping but we hope to see you out supporting your downtown
!

Note...next week I ho
pe to post the project on Friday if all goes well! It will be up Saturday morning at the absolute latest.
I also promise to post more regularly....I didn't realize you guys would miss us that much!! (=

We will be using some clear acrylic stamps from the Inkadinkado sets for 2 of the cards along with using the nestabilites, clear embossing, stamping, glitter and gorgeous decorative papers. The third card will be white and gold - using a cuttlebug tree folder, some sentiment peel offs, ribbon and to finish it off, some liquid pearls.

Christmas Cards with Debbie
Two very different but amazing cards will be created in this class. For the Santa card, you will work with some amazing decorative paper, emboss, use glitter and punches. Gorgeous ribbon and brads help to embellish this card. The deer in flight card uses a very different Inkadinkado deer stamp . You will emboss, paint a little and then frame it with gold krylon. Again, lots of little extras are added to really set this card off.
Note....You will also make a cute little Christmas tag (not shown here).

Christmas Cards with Linda
These two cards just scream elegance! Each card uses great mirror paper that we carry in store and incorporates beautiful ribbon. You will be working with the Cuttlebug to create a very nice background on the martini card. Beadazzles are another very cool product used to add that little extra to the ornament card. Nestabilities will also be used for each card.

Hello and Purpose of Blog

Well, here you go...our first post. Kell and I decided a blog would be the best way for us to inform you of the various happenings around the store. We are going to do away with the old fashion emails and rely on this as our main source of information. The purpose of the blog is to:
  • give you more information about the various paper craft classes we offer
  • inform you when new product has arrived in store
  • let you know about exciting new techniques
  • serve as a great place for friends to get together to share their love of the hobby
We hope you have fun following our site!
