Well, it was time to replenish our "candy jars".  Have a look at the beautiful new ribbon!  All strands are $1.00 with the length varying based on how intricate the ribbon.

Retro LOVE - Just Awesome!

Wow!  We just got through only THE most amazing weekend right here in Chatham-Kent!  The 11th annual Retrofest took place and it was THE biggest and best one to date!  You all know that I am one of Chatham's biggest cheerleaders.  This past weekend made me so proud to call Chatham my home.

 It was cool Friday night, but the kids did not mind as they dug in the sand!

At 8pm Friday night, I enjoyed 'A Night of Awesome' at The Capitol Theatre with three
of the most awesome girls that I know!  Neil Pasrica, the author of The Book of Awesome,
was a great guest speaker and such a nice person!
We even got him to sign our books after the show.....awesome!

I was thrilled when I walked up to the store Saturday morning
to see these vehicles parked in front of the store!  What a beautiful day we had!

Something a little more permanent is on its way but I am thrilled to have all my
old signage down at our previous location.

Ok.  How fun is this?  Big Boy was standing right in front of the Retro Suites!
We enjoyed dinner at The Chilled Cork before the BIG Trews concert in Tecumseh Park.
Oh yeah....the lead singer was dining at the table next to us.....ahhhh (swoon)!  

I cannot wait to add all of these little pictures to my SmashBook!  Actually, I am very tempted to start a new Smashbook to document only Retrofest related items.  The NEW Nostalgia themed album ($14.99) would be just perfect!  Here are the pre-printed pages in the Nostalgia album.  I think it will be perfect!

I am still on a high from the weekend's festivities!  I cannot wait to celebrate with Chatham again at this weekend's Blues Fest at The Capitol Theatre!

Retrofest & New Goodies

Hello Strangers!  Actually, sorry I have been the stranger over the last week but we are rushing around gearing up for a VERY huge weekend in Chatham!  Retrofest begins tomorrow with an unbelievable cruise.  Saturday is the car show, various activities downtown and a FREE concert by The Trews beginning at  7:30pm!  This is one of my MOST favourite weekends.  If you have never attended, believe me, you are missing out!!

We have been working towards having all of our decorating complete for this weekend as well.  Check out The Pickle's storefront now!  My mom is incredible!  She sewed this perfect little awning for the store.  I am just in love!

The project will take about 10-15 minutes to complete and will be fairly simple, yet adorable, to make sure everyone is happy with their projects!  I mean this is our first Craft-Tea time so no pressure.  We will build each month on what we have learned.  What do you think?  This is going to be a lot of fun!  Besides, now is your chance to try some of Dekoko's custom blend teas or other delicious drinks AND do a much awaited for Make and Take at The Pickle!

6x6 LOVE

Wow!  What a beautiful day in the neighbourhood!  I stopped into Dekoko's for my morning coffee and took a quick photo of 4 of the new Kaiser Craft 6x6 pads that are in store now! Collections include:  Remember Me, In the Attic, Elegance and Needle & Thread. These pads actually measure 6.5x6.5" and include specialty papers (foil, flocked, etc.) and die cut embellishments.  They are $8.99 because of all the beautiful extra goodies.  What I love about these pads is that the patterns are reduced just like all the other 6x6 pads from other companies and all the papers and embellishments coordinate to make designing cards or even layouts a snap.
