Ha! This is all a little tongue in cheek. Follow the link above to see other duties of a wife.....ha! How things have changed since 1955! Too funny...I just noticed that the article was published on his birthday (May 13)!
All joking aside, I HAVE been working like a mad-woman over the past few months but it is not just for "hubby". I love working with my hands, rooting though the gardens and painting. All of these jobs can be so rewarding. Mind you, there were some choice words while I did these things in the 100F weather but what can you do! I was on a mission! All I have to say is he will owe me big time after this Saturday!!
Store Closed THIS Saturday!
This leads into my first matter of business. We will be CLOSED on SATURDAY, AUGUST 25th. I rarely close for vacations but in order to prep for the big party, I will be a good wife and close for the day. I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.
Extended Hours THIS Wednesday
We will however be open LATE this Wednesday, August 22 to coincide with the final edition of THE 4th Street Market! The Paper Pickle will be open from 10am-8pm tomorrow! Stop in and say hi and share some of your "good wife" escapades!
Second Date ADDED
Well....I'd say everyone was quite excited that Linda is teaching a copic class. So much so that we had to add a second date! Please note that there is a second class on Wednesday, September 19th from 6-8pm.
A listing of the copic colours required for the class can be found in the last post. Here is the list for the Prismacolors (coloured pencils):
- Lime Peel
- Kelp Green
- Magenta
- Warm Grey 20%
- Warm Grey 50%
- Pumpkin Orange
- Spanish Orange
- Sunburst Yellow
- Light Cerulean Blue
- Light Umber
In closing......Keep up the good work ladies!

I actually own the "Every Woman's Standard Medical Guide" published in 1949. It too has a chapter on how to be a "Good Wife" which cracks me up every time I read it!
Yes, times have changed. Enjoy your day off. You deserve it!
