I just wanted to touch base to let you know about some of the things coming up and things coming to a close at The Pickle.

Happy Hours

Last Friday's Happy Hour marked the end of our sessions for the season and it went out with a bang! Kell taught a gorgeous thank you card using the NEW Smooch Spritz ($5.50). This product is sure to leave your projects shimmering and you smiling!

We have been thrilled with the response and appreciate you coming out to the events. We had so much fun teaching you how to use some of the new products in the store! Now that the nicer weather is here, we will take a break and start up again in late fall.

Michelle has designed a gorgeous one page layout for her next class. You will learn how to make those crafty dimensional stars, work with baubles, chipboard and decorative paper. As usual, distressing will be a big part of the layout! Did I mention how much I love this girl's style?!?

Supplies: Scissors, adhesive, photos (1 - 4x6 and 2- 2x4...Michelle used black and white but you could use sepia or coloured photos)

Copic & Pencil Technique Class with Linda - Wednesday, May 26th @ 6PM

There is still room available in Linda's class. This will be Linda's last class until fall due to her ridiculously busy 'touring schedule'! So if you are debating about taking the class, just DO it! You don't want to miss out of learning how to use these amazing markers and pencils!

Linda will be working with two adorable stamps from StampingBella (available in store) - Izzie Has Balloons and The SK8R Boy

Extra Happy Happy Hours TODAY

Happy Hours TODAY!

I am in THE best mood today! I think it is because the sun is shining, I have sushi for lunch, my hair actually looks good (I think so anyways), I have figured out the secrets of parenting and I am starting to get caught up around here. So I just wanted to let you know that today's Happy Hours will be extra special! Come in between 4 and 5:30PM today for an adoarble project! All I can say is that it uses our signature CD cases!

Need to Clarify

Sorry ladies...I just needed to clarify a couple of things from my last post. The class schedule will go out next Wednesday (April 21st). Ooops....sorry about that.

Also, we will be closed this Friday, April 16th so that means there will be NO 'Happy Hours' this week. We will resume our Happy Hours next Friday between 4 and 5:30pm. As a reminder, these are free projects where you get to learn new techniques and make a cute project. So far, we have worked with the new Distress Inks, made Easter Bags using Stampingbella stamps, used Unity cling mount stamps and coloured with Copics.

So I had a really nice chat this past week with a woman who had recently moved to the Chatham-Kent area from London. She said it was nice to be close to her family but she missed the group of women who she would get together with on a regular basis to stamp. I told her about the classes we held 2-3 times each week in the evenings. She said they looked quite interesting but she said she was not comfortable driving at night.

Then I started to think.....hey, we use to have one afternoon each week where people could just casually drop in and make a little project. It was called 'Happy Hours' and it made our customers and ourselves SO happy♥ A different technique or product would be used each week on a little tag or card, etc. You know what? I kind of miss those Friday afternoons! And now that Kell is back in the store full-time, I felt like this could be the perfect time to bring back our Happy Hours. So starting this Friday, between 3:30 and 5:30, stop in and make a little project, learn a little and just have fun with your fellow paper crafter. Oh, and the best part....it's free!!
