Fall Class Schedule - Sign Up Today

Cards by Pauline
We are thrilled to have Pauline teaching classes again after a 2 year break!  Check out these incredible cards featuring Penny Black stamps.  We are going to try something a little different here.  In this class you must bring a stamping tool (the Tonic Stamp platform, We R Memory Keepers Stamp Press, Misti Stamping Tool, etc) because Pauline will teach you how to apply ink in layers to achieve stunning results (card on left).  And because we will be working with our own tools, we will each need our own stamp.  In the class fee, you will walk away Penny Black's 'Becoming' cling mount stamp to use over and over again.  And for the card on the right, Pauline will show you how beautifully you can blend distress oxide inks to create seamless backgrounds.
This is the stamp you will take home
with your class fee

Card Classes!

I love paper.  It is a fact.  I know this is not breaking news.  But honestly, every time I look at what can be created with basic supplies....paper, ink, stencils.....I fall more and more in love.  I am in awe.  Get ready to fall in love yourself....

We are back with a couple of card classes this month that will bring out your inner artist.  We have plans for various classes throughout the summer too. Stay tuned.  And don't be afraid to send me a note with suggestions for classes.  I am always open to ideas.  Also, if there are any paper artists out there who may want to teach at The Pickle, please send me an email.  I would love to see what you have to offer.

This is going to be an awesome class.  Hilary will show you how just by changing papers, you can create two very different cards.  It's like the internet debate all over again.....Which do you see?  Pink with white laces or blue with grey laces?  I can see both.  I love both.  And as a bonus, create this incredible distressed tag using various stamps, inks, stencils and more.  It's shabby.  It's chic.  It.  Is.  Fun.

Date:  Wednesday, June 20 from 6-8pm OR Thursday, June 21 from 1-3pm
Cost:  $20+hst (includes a sweet treat from Homebaked Kitchen Co.)

Sooooooo......yes.  These beauties are shipping to The Paper Pickle as I type this!  I am SOOOOOO excited.  Such a great release of colours too!  I believe we will be one of the first stores in the area with this product.

I thought I would have a little thank you for those who shop with me.  I know it can be exciting doing the pre-orders with companies on line but honestly, we often get our shipments in at the same time or even before these stores.  I appreciate those who wait to shop with me.  If you want brick and mortar store to exist, support them!  Anyone who orders all 12 colours will receive 18% off your order.  That is a pretty substantial savings!

Anything Else you are Looking for?
So you have been watching all the videos from Creativation (formerly CHA) and you are drooling over.......?  Shoot me an email and let me know what is on your wish list.  I would be happy to get you a price.  Basically you can count on my pricing to be the US$ MSRP plus exchange (which is hovering around 1.3).

Journals with a Purpose by Kim
You may remember that I ran a class back in July where the students created TWO identical 6x8 spiral bound lined journals.  One was to be taken home and the other was to be donated to The Women's Centre.  I was overwhelmed with the response to this class.  Twelve amazing women signed up for this class sight unseen.  Everyone walked away with a project that they were proud of.  They were also happy to donate to these women and children who use these journals as place to voice their inner thoughts and feelings.  I have written in journals and diaries my entire life (I received my first diary from my parents when I was in Grade 5) and I know how important they have been to me. Why don't you join me?  Not only will you feel all warm and fuzzy, you will also learn A LOT!  We will be working with my favourite inks (Distress Oxides), stencils, stamps, heat embossing, glitter and more. Every student put their own spin on the design and I must say I was SO impressed with every journal and you will be too.

Time:  6-8:30pm
Cost:  $20+hst (includes a sweet treat from Homebaked Kitchen Co.)
Required Supplies:  scissors, adhesive

Everyone has put heart and soul into these designs and I hope you enjoy them and consider joining in on the fun.
